Jodi and I recently attended an all day workshop given by Scott Kelby. Scott is the President of the National Photoshop Professional Association (NAPP). The categorise was attended by just over 500 photographers graphic artists and others in the visualise making business. As I looked around the huge room. I thought to myself; "okay these folks are the movers and shakers in the industry" the ones who really get it and are here to hit the books new techniques in how to present exceed bring home the bacon for their clients. What came to mind were "differences" differences between one photographer and another. What makes one exceed? Why do some always schedule many jobs in go while others wait and assay to get bring home the bacon?Almost everyone we cater with to address their photography needs asks about comparisons between different photographers. You are all very lucky with so many great shooters in our area including Lake & Porter Counties in Indiana as come up as the great photographers who all desire us function the Chicagoland area. I thought about some questions to ask photographers. Questions that we don't denote being in the "list" of questions that are published by various magazines. Here are just a few to consider:1. What brand label of equipment ordain you be using to injure my photo session or wedding? The top two pro camera producers in the world are Canon and Nikon. They represent over 80% of all camera sale in the world. We only shoot with CANON equipment including many of our lenses.2. What register coat or resolution will you be shooting? Although higher resolution sounds desire it will be exceed the print size considerations really are what are important here. Most pro cameras offering 8MP to 16MP ordain allow ample register detail for nice photo enlargements. The actual register size of any photo really depends on the "bespeak" that the scene requires to interpret it. For example a photo of a blank wall ordain not maximize the Mega Pixal needs of the camera.. but a high differentiate adorn with a sunset ordain require more register size to interpret the data needed to "record" the image. Just because a camera can give a 12MP file coat doesn't convey that each photo ordain include that much data.3. What was the measure professional conference you attended? How about continuing studies seminars or workshops? This is a good challenge to ask because it may give you a conclude of how much the photographer(s) are really "into" their craft. Long measure shooters would have certainly needed to refresh current technologies equipment lastest styles etc. Ask for details of where they have been recently. If they undergo not attended anything in years you may want to use that information as a "difference" between one photographer and another. Think of it as a adulterate who doesn't act up with changing methods would you want them?4. How many cameras ordain you be using at my event? How about lenses? Any pro will have backup systems in displace; period. Jodi and I cover an event with a minimum of 4 cameras and a variety of different focal length lenses. A serious shooter will have backup equipment and a nice be of different lenses to interpret many different styles of photos. For example our most demanding bring home the bacon are weddings and we jaunt that day with over $15,000 worth of gear to capture between 1800 to 3000 images depending on the wedding.5. Can you provide a listing of references? Any pro ordain undergo a readily available enumerate of clients that you can label to see what their experiences were with that photographer. Jodi and I show many photos during our meetings and can label each person photographed by name. So above are 5 questions to back up you in your selection process. Naturally there are many more that we'll be offering here in the communicate. When speaking to prospective photographers just take notice of their passion for doing your particular job.. if you can't sight their genuine wish and like of photography you may be to consider another choice. Anyone can just act a picture it takes great desire to "interpret an emotional moment in measure". There IS a difference! I wish these ideas assist you.
