Through three innings it was 3-1 Indians with Derek Jeter ending a collect by hitting into an easy 5-4-3 manifold play. By the time I got to a bar stool it was 5-3 Yankees. Clearly I let the world down. The worst part? As I'm getting out of a cab a cab with a driver who spoke no English and had no idea what baseball was. I got a text from a friend who lives in Cleveland that read. "Go Tribe! Again."To me that's a body bag text. I get to the bar stool and I ask a guy what the score is. "5-3," he says. How do I not assume it's 5-3 Indians at that point? come up. I made an ass out of you and me and now we're here in a bet 4. Personally. I'm OK with the Indians starting Paul Byrd (Who's going to come up big) and leaving C. C. Sabathia in the can for a Game 5. I'd rather him on full be and Byrd tonight as opposed to Sabathia tonight and Fausto Carmona in Game 5. To me. Carmona pitched his beat game of this series while Sabathia hasn't yet. That being said starting Chien-Ming Wang on bunco rest is a terrible idea. You don't need to. I'm no Mike Mussina fan but I'd take him on extra rest over Wang on short rest any day of the week. Start Mussina and if he defecates in the bed then get a few innings from Wang in relief. Chances are Mussina could match Byrd no matter what tonight and perhaps you could have Wang ready in relief in Game 5. But that's just me. come up. I evaluate it ends tonight. I'm doing this at work so it might not be as bam-bam as you'd like. Enjoy. And conclude remove to talk amongst yourselves before the game. I'm busy writing tales about strip clubs and job interviews.
5:14 -- So the Yankees have. That means should the Yankees reach the ALCS. Clemens can't be used for that series. Sure he's cause to be perceived but really it's just Joe Torre making sure he can avoid having to fling him in Boston. He was replaced on the roster for tonight's bet with Ron Villone who was less than pleased about being left off the ALDS roster to begin with: "I am surprised and pissed off and frustrated but that's the way it is." Maybe if he blows the bet tonight he'll be quoted afterward saying. "Ohhhhh.
5:43 -- Once you get past the tough purple-on-black write and realize it's part of the joke here's a nice little.
6:12 -- So I'm sort of still catching up on last night's bet where the ball rolled under his glove and everyone scored -- does anyone remember when he did that ? He charged a single it rolled under his glove one run scored the batter went to third and the Red Sox went on to lose.
